Sleep Is Good

Sleep is a necessity to humans. Not only is it needed but most people enjoy it, especially teenagers. During high school teenagers get between 7 and 7 1/4 hours but they need 9 and 9 1/2 hours. Teenagers generally do not fall asleep until 11 and some high schools start as early as 7. Sometimes homework, sports, and after school activities also lead to late bedtimes. This leads to teens being sleep deprived affecting mood, behavior, cognitive ability, academic performance, and if the teen is driving to school it can also cause drowsy driving.
